We @ The Balloon Crew are so excited to be involved in the Terracycle/Amscan balloon recycling program!
To recycle your balloons simply drop them off to our Annandale store during regular trading hours, we also offer a collection service for a small service charge (date and time depending).
How it works? Once we collect 30kg, we send it down to Terracycle to be processed, they mulch / pellatise the latex balloons that is then sold on the open market as a raw material for use in new products such as rubber play matts and play equipment.
We are also experimenting with a local solution using our popped latex balloons as filling inside dog beds! Stay tuned for more information on this.

Such a simple solution! We are excited to experiment with using popped latex as stuffing / inflill for locally made dog beds! A great opportunity to get the kids / school involved and teach them all about sustainability and upcycling.
